Angelic. Passionate. Radiant.
These are all words used to describe international performing opera sensation Noema Erba, known for her flawless tessitura and powerful lyric sopran voice.

The Beginning
Born in the Czech Republic, Noema began singing in elementary school and eventually matriculated into public and private conservatories. At age 12, Noema knew that signing was her passion and anxious to continue her education, she enrolled at the Academy of Musical Arts in Prague. There, she spent five years specializing in opera under the tutelage of Professor Jana Jonášová. At the culmination of her studies, Noema gave an unforgettable graduation concert and graduated magna cum laude.

As a part of her studies, Noema was also fortunate to study abroad at the Hochschule für Musik “Carl Maria von Weber” in Dresden, Germany. This experience not only gave her the opportunity to study under premier instructors like Professor Gisely Burkhardt-Mühlbach and Professor Andreas Baumann, but it also helped to improve her language skills and appreciation of other cultures. Even now, Noema enjoys singing music by composers from all across the world.

After graduating, Noema participated in international singing competitions, delighting audiences in Germany, Austria, Romania, and England with her beautiful, light lyric sopran voice. She placed second in the E. Destinnova’s International Vocal Competition in London, England. Additionally, she had the great honor of being a finalist in Hariclea Darclée’s International Vocal Competition in Brail, Romania after competing against 50 talented singers from all over the world. Noema credits her success with having a great support system including her teachers, grandmother, and especially her husband. She also feels grateful for having grown up in Prague, a city that is amazingly rich and diverse in culture.

Notable Collaborations
Noema has worked with some of the most recognized musicians in Europe including members of the State Opera in Prague like baritone Miguelangelo Cavalcanti, baritone Vojtěch Nalezenec of the Chamber Orchestra in Vienna, tenor Giorgio Casciarri of the Metropolitan Opera of New York & La Scala Milano and Professor Juergen Hartfiel of the Music Academy in Dresden. In addition to collaborating with these musicians, Noema has performed with soloist Miguelangelo Cavalcanti of the State Opera in Prague and has perfected her acting with Tahira Menaždina of Moscow’s Great Theater.

Concert Inspiration – Inspirational Concerts
Noema often develops and performs her own concert series that typically include classic opera, operetta, and other musical pieces. Many of her performances feature songs from composers like Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, Dvorak, Lehar, Kalman, from well known such as Turandot, La Boheme, Don Giovanni and Le Nozze di Figaro among others. Visitors to her performances can expect to see impeccable acting skills and her alluring stage presence.
For those performances she often draws inspiration from world class opera singers, actors, movies, and even current fashion and styling trends.
Both on and off stage, Noema is known for her vivacious personality.

An Emerging Star
Today, Noema’s will to succeed and desire to continuously create has led to a full performance schedule in Europe. Noema is looking forward to expanding her concerts in Asia, where she has given her first performance in Manila, Philippines in March 2012.
Fully dedicated to the Czech national culture, Noema organized the 150th anniversary of the birth of Karel Kovařovic, well renowned Czech composer and former conductor of the National Theatre.

In addition, Noema successfully gave a performance at the “Opera Gala” night with the Karlovy Vary Philharmonic Orchestra under the conductor of the Czech National Theater.

Success in Italy & Work for Beneficiary Organisations
In 2013, Noema mostly worked, rehearsed and went on stage in Chiavari, Italy. After a successful debut with the Teatro Cantero, she played in the operas „Rigoletto“, an Italian production and „La Bohème“ in corporation with the Central Florida Lyric Opera.

In October 2013, Noema conducted her second guest performance in Manila, Philippines with her concert program “A Night in the Opera”. A Philippine tenor and baritone accompanied her on stage.

In November and once again on stage in Italy, Noema sung in the Opera “Norma”, in December in “La Traviata”.
2014, Noema is already booked in Italy for the Operas “Traviata”, “Madam Butterfly”, “Nabucco”, Rigoletto, Cavalleria Rusticana and Carmen.

Singing for beneficiary events is one of Noema’s beloved activities she pursues in her spare time. As a result, she has performed twice in concerts in Prague for the „Art for Life“, an organization fighting against AIDS/HIV.

She is excited about performing in new places and looks forward to continuing her work in the future.
